Hand drawn birthday card: Kill Bill theme
Last year, I decided that I would put extra attention in making hand drawn birthday cards instead of buying them.
Now, I have nothing against buying cards from a company or a local artist. They are some amazing work out there, and it’s only fair to encourage the people who creates it.
The reason why I chose do so is mostly because:
1) I want to draw more.
2) Because it is so much fun and personnal for the bithday boy/girl to get a handmade card.
3) To give me confidence in my work.
3) To save a little bit of money. (Beautiful cards usually cost around 5$, so if you’re like me and you enjoy them giving lots of them, it does add up, at the end of the year.
Right under, you can see the card I drew for my not-so-little-anymore brother, Philippe.
The reason I drew the character of Uma Thurman in the Kill Bill film is because he is a fan of Tarantino’s work (and Uma, as well!
)
He’s also working in the film industry and has a passion for movies and writing. So it all made sense!
Here’s a picture of me and him. Eheh!
Have a great week!

That is so awesome…. really, really funny!! Great job!
the best way to get that very personal card is to make it yourself. love your work and whimsy in it.
