Hand drawn birthday card: Kill Bill theme

Last year, I decided that I would put extra attention in making hand drawn birthday cards instead of buying them.

Now, I have nothing against buying cards from a company or a local artist. They are some amazing work out there, and it’s only fair to encourage the people who creates it.
The reason why I chose do so is mostly because:

1) I want to draw more.
2) Because it is so much fun and personnal for the bithday boy/girl to get a handmade card.
3) To give me confidence in my work.
3) To save a little bit of money. (Beautiful cards usually cost around 5$, so if you’re like me and you enjoy them giving lots of them, it does add up, at the end of the year.

Right under, you can see the card I drew for my not-so-little-anymore brother, Philippe. :)

The reason I drew the character of Uma Thurman in the Kill Bill film is because he is a fan of Tarantino’s work (and Uma, as well! ;) )
He’s also working in the film industry and has a passion for movies and writing. So it all made sense!

Another happy customer! :-D

Here’s a picture of me and him. Eheh!
Have a great week! :)
